  • Negotiate! Ask the billing department if you can pay in installments (w/low or no interest), receive notices on what you’ve paid & what you still owe, and ask if your debt can stay with the hospital rather than be sold off to a third party.
  • And Don’t Take Out Loans: It may seem helpful in the short term but You’ll be paying that loan back for a long time & if you miss payments – it could affect your credit score.
